Parkinson's What else can be done

Types of Parkinson's diseases

The four known types of Parkinson's disease are Parkinson's disease, Parkinson's neuroma, congenital Parkinson's and non - dopamine Parkinson's disease. Dopamine is responsible for muscle movement. It also produces emotions like anger or joy and helps control urination. There are a number of factors that cause the brain to release excessive amounts of dopamine which include genetics, neurological conditions or infections, poor nutrition and environmental factors such as toxins and chemicals. Most cases of Parkinson's disease are genetic and have a family history.

The other three types of this disease are Parkinson's disease, Neurogenic Parkinson's disease (NPPD) and Dopamine-free Parkinson's disease. The first two types of this disease affect the motor nerve, while the last type affects the nervous system. Each type has different symptoms and the degree of disability varies from person to person. This disease can be inherited through a parent or grandparent.

Parkinson's neuroma is the fourth type of this disease. It is caused by a tumor formed in the brain stem. Symptoms include tremors, stiffness and loss of balance.

The other three types of this disease are hereditary, degenerative and undiagnosed. Hereditary causes a disorder, which is passed down from generation to generation. Common diseases in families with a high number of patients include Down syndrome, Williams syndrome and refractive X syndrome. The degenerative type is caused by a nerve injury or stroke. You can also inherit from both parents.

Parkinson's disease that is not caused by a virus or bacterium is not weakened. There is no known cure for this condition. Some people are still unsure of the cause, but studies show it may be a combination of stress and genetic malfunctions. This is also why researchers are still trying to figure out how to treat this disease.
